by Firefox user 16161101, a year agoOccasionally you come across something that just works, and this extension is one of them. You then wait for the developers to stuff it up somehow in search of monetization, but so far this hasn't happened to Video Download Helper. I guess that there are enough people willing to pay for videos without a watermark that the program can be kept afloat and casual users like myself can continue with the free version. Anyway, thanks guys; much appreciated.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19595273, 3 days agoreally couldnt live without this addon. its real value is in sniffing out the url of the video. i use it to copy the url of the file, then send it to jdownloader, which is a faster more dependable download manager, but on some sites, vdh is able to download files when sending the url to jdownloader causes a failure. the renaming feature is amazing but only works when using vdh to do the downloading. although the description says it can download youtube videos, i have not been able to get that to work. i love vdh.
