posted 8 years agoThe addon doesn't do much, so any performance impact should be negligible. If you're seeing otherwise, please let me know so we can investigate why that may be the case. (But do note that the addon does enable versions of the Google Search pages that are likely more resource-intensive than the basic versions otherwise served to Firefox on Android).

Got an Android after a couple years on iPhone and was very happy to use the actual Firefox (not some safari-clone) and Google works great without this add-on which really surprised me. But rating 5-stars as this used to be crucial
