- Rated 4 out of 5by phma, 14 days agoI use the non-automatic page translation tool — That's to say if I need to translate a web page, I click [mylanguage] in the TWP toolbar button and the page is translated.
Is there a way to reset the page translation when the URL changes?
Example: To read an article on example.com, I click to translate the page. Then, after reading, I navigate to a different page (still on example.com), and the new page is automatically translated. I’d like the new page not to be automatically translated — I want it to reset in its original language.
I know this is a non-standard request, but would it be possible to have this choice via a checkbox in the settings?

Thanks for the reply!
I already had that option set to “No.”
I just tried again and realized I had misunderstood the "issue".
Actually, the site doesn't revert to its original language when I use the Back button (when I go back one page). I guess that's normal.
In the end, I have to refresh the page after using the Back button. That works for me.
Thanks for the quick reply!

Edit August 28:
Hello, I'm back with some additional information regarding my first question.
I was finally able to reproduce the problem:
On YouTube, I'm reading the comments (translated into French) under a video.
Then, I return to the YouTube homepage by clicking on the YouTube logo in the upper-left corner of the page.
When returned to the homepage, the translation is still active.
"Automatically translate when clicking on a link that takes you to the same domain as the current site" is disabled.
Thank you if reading this.Developer response
posted 14 days agoWhat you're asking for is the extension's default behavior. Depending on how the site is built, the behavior may be different.
Check if the option "Automatically translate when clicking on a link that takes you to the same domain as the current site" is disabled. - Rated 4 out of 5by Xav, a month agoGreat extension, would you make it available for Safari?
A nice improvement would be the possibility to switch easier the translation from one languge to another. - Rated 4 out of 5by crys0oner, a month agoEverything is good but the button Text to speech for English isn't working

- Rated 4 out of 5by rubytube, 9 months agoVery useful tool as it can translate dynamically created web pages like YouTube which is great, now I can read all YouTube comments more easer no matter what language, also asian language.
I experienced one issue: when browsing through camera lens models on dpreview.com it changes the formatting on the left side of the list of canon lenses.
It shows 4 lenses per row and the rightmost lense vanishes partially behind text on the right side of the webpage.
Then I have some wishes:
1. I would like to work with the deepl.com translator API where you can get a free API key and where the translation quality is better compared to Google.
2. Whats also missing, to be able to configure the translator in the settings. Currently you can only switch to another translator when viewing a webpage but later on it changes again to the default which is Google.
3. If you hover over the translated paragraph, then a pop-up window shows the original text, which is very useful, but it hides the translated text partially. It would be good, if the placement of the pop-up window could be parametrized better, so that there is a chance not to hide the original text.
Please fix the display issue and add deepl.com API as translator, make the default translator configurable and make the pop-up window placement showing the original text configurable. Then I am happy to give the full 5-stars.
A really great and useful product many thanks. - Rated 4 out of 5by hoangkamam, 9 months ago

This is why I hope to add a branch for translation instead of Google. The name of the translator or translation application is DeepL شكرا لكم

- Rated 4 out of 5by emvaized, a year agoThis addon works great, but I wished there was an option to disable popup on text selection, as well as all other page-related stuff which in fact slows down the browser (Speedometer benchmark shows 1.0 point decrease with this addon enabled).
Ideally, I would like this addon to not interact with the page at all until I deliberately click the addressbar icon, thus granting the page access and requesting the translation. - Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 18988002, a year ago

posted 2 years agoThe extension translates from English to Polish correctly, are you sure you selected the target language correctly?
