As of Jun 30, 2026 Add-on is NON-FUNCTIONAL.

The « YouTube Auto HD + FPS » Add-on is currently Functional and has Many More Features, I suggest that Add-on instead.

Doesn't work anymore

Just doesn't work. Not on shorts or full videos, quality still rubbish and defaulting to auto or low despite decent internet and using this extension with all permissions allowed.

Doesn't do anything, YouTube keeps picking quality by itself

Constantly asks for permissions to read/change data on all websites and puts a green dot on the UI about it.

There's no reason it needs permissions to read/change data on all websites, but yet it asks for it...
