- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 20066650, a day agoLove the addon!
Bugs/Improvements:
1)This setting is not saved: Preserve data for recent sites in the same tab (useful for "Back" button) -- (I changed it to 1, but it defaults back to 4)
2) Option to clear cookies / objects immediately after visiting a website (blocking cookies breaks the website, but accepting them and removing them right away works fine).
3) Ability to remove the red number icon (it's distracting when the icon is pinned).
4) Add Cookie Browser dialog that shows domains for which cookies are currently stored and add ability to set/adjust cookie rules from that dialog. Can get inspiration from Firefox addon Forget me not (click on black book icon with dot on top) Developer response
posted 5 months agoThank you for the 5 stars and the great suggestion! 🌟 Having a global pause option is a really good idea. I've noted this down and will definitely look into adding it in future updates.- Rated 5 out of 5by p1usminus, 7 months agoFound this after looking for an add-on to selectively clear local storage and I am so glad I found this. Works very well - it has replaced Cookie AutoDelete (CAD) on my phone and I am considering using it alongside CAD on my computer.
An observation after using it with Iceraven (Android):
- it appears it is affected by Total Cookie Protection (network.cookie.cookieBehavior = 5) or the 'Isolate cross-site cookies' option in Enhanced Tracking Protection, so partitioned folders are not cleared... this is a little difficult to explain. But by disabling the isolation (choosing 'Cross-site and social media trackers' or network.cookie.cookieBehavior = 4) this can be avoided. CAD also required this to work properly.
I can see that it is clearing the ls and idb folders for sites as I have set it, leaving just the .metadata-v2 file in /storage/default//. It would be great if it could delete the whole folder, but this is probably beyond the capability of WebExtensions.Developer response
posted 5 months agoThank you so much for the great review and the detailed feedback! I'm really glad to hear it's working well for you. Regarding Total Cookie Protection (network.cookie.cookieBehavior = 5), I've been meaning to check how it affects partitioned data but haven't had the chance yet. Your findings are very helpful, and I will definitely look into it soon.
Also, you are absolutely correct about the .metadata-v2 file. Since it's an internal bookkeeping file managed by Firefox, deleting the entire folder is unfortunately beyond current WebExtension API capabilities. However, please rest assured that websites have zero access to this file, meaning it cannot be used for tracking. The actual data payload is completely safely cleared. Thanks again for your support! - Rated 5 out of 5by Save For Read Later, 7 months agoAn excellent extension that does what it says. Well done!
