Auto Jimaku Subs does not operate a developer-run server, does not sell user data, and does not include analytics or advertising.

The extension stores the user’s Jimaku API key, subtitle timing offsets, and selected subtitle file settings locally in the browser.

To provide its features, the extension may send anime title and episode information detected from the current video page, or typed manually by the user, to Jimaku and AniList to find matching subtitle files and title variants.

The user’s Jimaku API key is sent to Jimaku when making Jimaku API requests and downloading subtitle files.

The extension does not intentionally transmit streaming-site login details, passwords, payment information, or full watch history to the developer.
