Blue Aspens by Lomatium

Quaking aspen- Populus tremuloides- grove in the Cascades. Growing where there is water- often springs- aspens can form colonies of hundreds of "trees" from one single tree because of the extensive root system that grows new woody stems out of the roots of just one.
