by GROMPICAL, 5 years agoIf you're serious about collecting photos from the internet, this is the best programme on the planet, bar none. Is it free - No, its not. It's a commercial programme that allows you a full trial, then you are required to pay. (There is an option to use a free version - for as long as you like - but, naturally, there are some limitations.) It seems that several people are leaving negative reviews- thinking they are somehow being swindled. If you READ what's on the screen - instead of blindly clicking - you'll see that EVERYTHING is clearly explained, and there is no fiddle going on. Hey, go down to your local car dealer - he'll let you enjoy a FREE test drive. Does that mean you get to keep the car for free ? No, dummy. Why would people think this is a free programme ?
I've been using this for several years, and I've yet to find anything better. I wasn't sure, when I first heard about this programme, so took advantage of the free trial. Once I saw what it was capable of, I was more than happy to pay up for a full licence. I've never felt cheated. In fact, I'm not that computer literate, and have twice asked for help. And twice, I've had detailed replies - direct from the author - who freely gives helpful advice. Am I related to the author - No. Am I being paid for this review - No.

- Rated 4 out of 5by Firefox user 19948142, a month agoI wanted to rate it 4 1/2 stars. BID performs it's stated task well and I have no specific gripes with the product and haven't found a suitable replacement (the best I've found for what it does). If the user's DL volume is high, it is well worth the relatively low annual cost (and, if you pay attention to the update 'end date', you can run the program in perpetuity-just with no further updates). I would assume many people might take issue with the companion program (took a while to talk myself into trusting it, but, have seen no ill effects after ~7 years of using it). Once installed, there is a bit of setup to perform based on usage that might throw off the casual user (settings/site login procedures, etc), but, it generally works 'one-click' once everything has been set. The reason for the 4-4 1/2 star rating is the lack of advanced instructions (which has gotten much better over the years) and it sometimes won't grab vids from some sites (which isn't a huge problem as it is Bulk IMAGE Downloader).

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 13347777, 8 months agoThis is a quick and simple interface extension between Firefox and Bulk Image Downloader. BID is a paid program, so please don't down-rate this extension. It works perfectly and I recommend buying BID if you download a lot of images. It has been worth it for me since 2013.

- Rated 5 out of 5by dctoe, a year agoBID is amazing and easy software. No it is not free, but I have found it well worth the investment and this extension makes using it even easier. Obviously 5 star.
- Rated 5 out of 5by McGerhart, a year agoAs far as i know the best picture downloader for many different websites.
All few weeks updates for the program.
Sure you can use it only some times without a time restriction, but its absolutely worth the price.
Great and friendly support.
Complement (7 months later):
Did buy it and i am using it now for some months, i can only confirm my judgement. Its gorgeous !
Many websites work automatically, for very complicated ones there are scripts, many updates by the developer.
Such a lot of useful techniques, for example: collect all links of a site and send them to the downl.manager, all totally automatic.
You only have to look at the harvest at last ;)
One of the finest tools i have ever seen, so sophistacated planned, so perfectly implemented.
One of the best tools i could ever use. - Rated 1 out of 5by kk02@g, a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by Cr8zy_Ivan, a year agoYou have to download an external helper program on your machine. The free version virtually has no features. My anti-virus blocked multiple attempts at accessing dubious websites in the background, and this by the external software they require you to install. This extension seems very dangerous.

- Rated 1 out of 5by edenflare, 2 years agoDidn't work, even paid extensions run out when instagram learns what your doing you get banned, these apps should always be free, and make money off ads.
- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 18528210, 2 years agoNeed a good scraper? BID fits the bill. I bought a license after the trial period, it's a pretty good app, at least test it out before getting upset about paying for stuff and leaving a 1-star review.
