CarbonGuru collects page content (URL and HTML) and your account email only when you explicitly click the CarbonGuru button — the extension does not passively monitor browsing or collect data in the background.

Data collected:
- Page URL and content of the tab you choose to analyze
- Email address for account creation and authentication
- User ID for account identification
- Purchase/analysis history linked to your account

All data is sent exclusively to https://carbonguru.io (our API server). Page content is used for analysis and is not retained afterward. No data is shared with third parties except as needed to fulfill carbon offset purchases (CNaught, Stripe Climate). No data is used for tracking or advertising.
