Reviews for Control Panel for Twitter
Control Panel for Twitter by Jonny Buchanan

by TigerNightmare, 3 years agoTwitter is so obnoxious these days, so it's nice to use something like this that keeps my feed neat and devoid of morons that pay $8 for severely undeserved attention. Could be better, there's some wishlist items I'd like added:
-Get rid of the bar that has "Following" in it once and for all. It's not enough to just have "For You" removed, I need to reclaim that vertical space and using AdBlock Plus to remove it breaks functionality in the website.
-Remove the "For You" tab on the explore page and have the explore button default to the trending tab.
-Remove just the words "What's happening" from the sidebar without removing trends.
-Remove the "Who to follow" item from the sidebar as a separate option from removing "What's happening."
-Show long tweets in full without the need to click on it.
-Add a button to remove a video while composing a tweet in case it gets stuck at 99% or I change my mind and want to use a different video so I don't have to completely start over.
Features like these would make it perfect. Other than that, very useful.

- Rated 2 out of 5by owkle, 7 days agolove the extension on Microsoft Edge but using it on Firefox has caused Chat to always say "disconnected" and the only way to access them is turning the whole plugin off
Developer response
posted 7 days agoDue to how it's been implemented (badly), X Chat only works on x.com - if you disable the Control Panel for Twitter option which keeps you on twitter.com, extension functionality works the same on both URLs, so you can keep using it and X Chat - Rated 5 out of 5by Joy, 18 days ago

- Rated 4 out of 5by Boobledink, 2 months agoActually makes modern Xitter useful. I do have to take a star off though as it doesn't support syncing settings, and whenever I log in on a new device I have to set them manually.
