Control Panel for Twitter by Jonny Buchanan

by morifluum, 2 years agoThis is hands down one of the best add-ons I've ever used. This literally makes Twitter BEARABLE to use. At the moment there's so many buttons that I rarely even use so they're literally all just clutter on the side bar. They might as well not exist but there is no option to turn them off from view natively!
But more importantly, the QRT feature has ALWAYS annoyed me with how many people use it without providing enough substance. It literally clogs my timeline that I was spending weeks in the past seeing if there's some opensource code online that just removes it altogether. This seems to be the only app that does anything to filter out content on the timeline.
It's become so normal for me to use this app that it's basically one of the first things I install on a new browser. I cannot overstate how much of an improved UI experience this provides.

Developer response
posted 8 days agoDue to how it's been implemented (badly), X Chat only works on x.com - if you disable the Control Panel for Twitter option which keeps you on twitter.com, extension functionality works the same on both URLs, so you can keep using it and X Chat - Rated 5 out of 5by Joy, 19 days ago
