this is not the extension some people are complaining about being a malware.

its the fake version called "dark reader for ff" pretending to be this extension and other 17 extensions.

dnt listen to crybabies. confirm the news before removing a good extension like DR

Every web site now has some random color, changed every color...doesn't even follow my OS or my Firefox settings. This is unacceptable, completely unacceptable.     Performance was always icky on Firefox, but recently its just horrible, unusable on low end devices and frequently pushes hardware temps up (the way i even noticed it on main powerful pc, its not felt but you could see high cpu use by stats)

    I've been using Dark Reader for years, but now it slows down and even hangs my browser. When I use Firefox Settings to set backgrounds to black, I lose highlighting effects. Absence of a working dark mode could cause me to abandon Firefox. :-(

    Efficiently renders webpages as dark by altering elements directly (by default). Very effective at eliminating bright backgrounds no matter the source. Interface is a bit clunky with four subpages to sift through, and verbiage a bit confusing. Can rarely unintentionally hide elements from sight, so double-check a page with it disabled in case anything is missing.
