This extension definitely works!

This add-on can be a little finnicky. However this is due to youtube fighting their war on any add-on that intrudes on their space.

Besides not forwarding me to a new page (which many youtube downloaders do), but letting me download within the youtube screen, there are multiple download options which is perfect.

Now I did get a limit after downloading quite some files, but after a single donation you get access to the "pro" version. In my experience this is well worth it. If the free version works perfectly fine for your wishes, consider dropping a few bucks to unlock the pro version so you can keep using this addon, and it helps the developer keep fighting the good fight against youtube.

Once you unlock the pro version, you can also get support when you have issues. I suddenly ran into file name issues, so I decided to send an email and got a swift response later that same day. After following the instructions I had no problem finishing downloading a huge library of files.

Depending on what you want to use it for, this add-on is perfect and gets regular updates, which also helps fixing the add-on after one of youtube's regular updates and changes break it (like with so many other of these add-ons which are now dead after no updates for weeks/months/years).

Впечатление резко негативное. 1) Несмотря на показ кнопки скачать, и отображаемый прогресс закачки, дошедший до конца без ошибок, видео может не быть закачано. 2) Папка временных файлов расширения резко возросла в размерах, почти до гига. Что оно там хранит - мне не ясно, но место на системном диске - не резиновое. 3) После очередного обновления расширения, у меня поиск ЯНДЕКС перешёл на английский интерфейс, который русифицировать никак не получалось. После удаления - проблемы с местом и русификацией поиска Яндекс ушли. Совпадение - не думаю. Что собирает с вашего ПК это расширение и почему вмешивается в настройки браузера - мне не ясно, поведение похоже на вредоносное ПО.

I was having problems with downloading youtube videos. I contacted the develpers and followed their suggestions.
The extension is working now.
I removed it, closed the browser, retarted my computer, then added the extension, cleared up my browser cache. Seems to have resolved the issue.

It doesn't work, asks to "login".. Login to what??

Easy to use, works well. Apparently doesn't work to download anything labelled "not for children" on youtube, unless you login to (I assume) their pro version (I don't have pro so I can't confirm). Why a downloader needs to "verify your age" is beyond me. I already have a youtube account that lets me view videos that are not age-restricted, I hope this "feature" gets removed.

Pretty much no complaint. If you want to download HD video you have to download the audio and video separately, but it's super easy to combine them, you just look up "combine video audio tool" or something to that effect on Google and you'll find plenty of free sites that do it in like 20 seconds. You can also do it yourself on any simple video editor like Shotcut, you just drag and drop the audio over the video and it will 1:1 sync perfectly by default. I believe this extension does include a built-in tool to combine the audio and video but I forgot how to open it lol. I remember using it a few times when I first installed the extension though.

Absolute amazing extension. Nothing doesn't work aside than youtube changing their code.
