posted 2 months agoHi! MP3 download is actually supported — it may not have been visible due to a display bug. Version 24.1 fixes the UI issues, so the MP3 option should now appear clearly in the download menu. Now, every time I download a video over 200MB, this AddOn consumes a lot of resources, pauses other videos\streams I have running & takes out the audio channel on some.
This app now eats even more memory and freezes everything when downloading.
Oh, and did I mention the massive, incredibly invasive ad\begging letter?Developer response

It also actually works now — the download bug is fixed. Update the extension and it should parse YouTube links properly. Try playing one of its video files without an internet connection and it makes the issue obvious. The only thing this is doing is creating a file that will enable you to stream the video from where it is hosted. If the host moves or deletes the file? Useless. If the host modifies the file? You lose access to the older copy you thought you had.
This level of misrepresentation should be taken as active deception.Developer response

Please try with 24.1 — play the downloaded file without internet and see if it works. But then a problem appeared where YouTube would freeze completely and only by closing the tab it would be fixed. It took me a while to connect the dots and at first I tried disabling the add-on and try watching a YouTube video again and voila! YouTube no longer freezes, period. I am gonna look for something else. Hope this review helps someone who has the same problem.

Even when I uninstalled it, this extension was still somehow sending notifications. I'd recommend avoiding it.
