Reviews for Enhancer for YouTube™
Enhancer for YouTube™ by Max RF

by John Doe, 6 months agoThe update landing page claimed something along the lines of “tons of bug fixes and improvements - too many to list.”
In reality, I don’t see any improvements at all. In fact, it broke features that were working perfectly fine in the previous version.
For starters, embed quality stopped working for me after the update. I’m not sure what else is broken yet, but I’ll update this review as I encounter more issues.
What makes this especially disappointing is that I previously found the extension very impressive. The old version worked flawlessly for me, even after YouTube’s UI changes. Every feature I used continued to work without issues right up until this update.
Given this experience, I’m honestly starting to wonder whether the original author is still maintaining the project, especially considering there’s no proper changelog and the overall experience has clearly regressed.
Anyway, just a heads-up to others. Someone should confirm whether this update actually comes from the original author and possibly decompile the code to check for anything sketchy. I’ll most likely downgrade to the older version and disable auto-updates.

posted 6 months agoYou're just out of luck. Maybe try to reinstall it.
And yes, I’m the original author. Don't start spinning fake news or acting like a conspiracy theorist. Mozilla has full access to the source code, you don't need to inspect anything. If you don't trust Mozilla, then don't use Firefox.
For future readers: if you think the previous version works better for you, you can reinstall it from here: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/enhancer-for-youtube/versions/
Don't forget to turn off automatic updates.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Inokentych, 5 days agoFor some reason add-on keep use 1080p page layout even after i changed 1080p monitor to 1440p one, and re install of add-on not fixing this, is that intended behaviour or some limitation? and most stupid no way to fix this in options that have anything but this.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Bert5962, 8 days agoEnhancer defaults to 720p of you don't manually choose it yourself. Why don't it let Youtube automatically choose the quality depending on the connection?
