posted 20 days agoHello! The FDM extension only sends the data needed to start downloads in the FDM app. The anonymous data notice was added just to comply with Mozilla’s requirements.
If you’re not comfortable with this, you can choose not to install the extension. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll take this into account before leaving a lower rating. Thank you!

posted a month agoHello! We would like to state once more that the FDM extension only transmits the necessary data to launch downloads in the FDM client. The anonymous data usage alert was implemented purely to meet Mozilla's stipulations. If you find this unacceptable, you can always choose not to install the extension. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll consider this before leaving a lower rating. Thank you. - Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 19794599, a month ago

posted a month agoHello! The extension requires data transfer to the FDM app to function properly, and due to Mozilla’s policies, your consent is necessary for this process. If you choose not to allow it, the extension won’t be able to work and may remove itself. - Rated 5 out of 5by fac, 2 months ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 14172993, 7 months agoWell I was also a bit annoyed by the consent and immidiatly install, but then I've read the comments here. And you can definitly improve your wording in the addon. If you had written hey its because mozilla has introduced that new policy I would have understood it immidiatly, but like its now I was not sure why you need to do that.
Lets see how good the extension is :D - Rated 5 out of 5by たやまみ, 7 months ago

Pay for IDM or Jdownloader with the adfree installer instead and look up how to disable the ads in it after.

posted 8 months agoHello! We are very sorry that the consent screen about data transfer have caused so many negative emotions among our users. However, as we've already explained, the FDM extension needs to transfer downloads to the FDM application in order to work. Without this transfer, the extension simply can’t function. Due to the latest Mozilla’s guidelines, this process now requires users to explicitly consent to the data transfer. If you find this requirement unacceptable, you can always uninstall the extension. We appreciate your understanding and hope you will consider this before leaving a lower rating. Thank you.
