It sounds like an essential feature of the browser's behaviour, mainly for users that have to restart the browser several times a day, with dozens of tabs reloading all at once.

- Rated 5 out of 5by ginnsa, 5 years agoomg thank you so much for this. I had to open 200 Steam pages and there's no way I could've done it staying sane without this extension. thank you very much for having updated it to work with fx 56 and on.
only downside for me is the font. Can you use some non-serif font like Arial or Verdana?

- Rated 5 out of 5by Ruane, 6 years agoPlease add a way to export&import settings, I lost mine on a power failure, I think it's a Firefox bug since I lost my settings in many extensions when it happened, fortunately I had a settings backup of all important extensions...

- Rated 5 out of 5by Firefox user 12531918, 6 years agoIs it possible to limit CPU usage of tabs loading in background? Ideally - to decrease their process priority.Developer responseposted 6 years agoThere should soon be an about:config setting named dom.ipc.processPriorityManager.enabled that will reduce priority of background processes. It's not quite ready yet. You can read about it here:

- Rated 5 out of 5by Pouriya, 7 years agoHi, Each time I quit firefox the pausing feature disables and I have to click Pause Loading again. Why does this happen? Could you fix this?
Edit: Hey again! Thank you for your fast response and updating the extension. Yes I am using this extension instead of LoadTabOnSelect. To me it's easier to use and has more options (Now it's perfect and I don't need to have two add-ons installed at the same time). I have another problem. Maybe I don't know how to use the add-on but is there any option to change the state of all active tabs (except the one we are already using) into paused tabs like they have just been opened and then paused by the extension? This way system resources will be freed until we select the tab we want. Thank you again :)Developer responseposted 7 years agoYou could try using 'Auto Tab Discard'. It interferes very little with this extension. It can discard inactive tabs (removing much of them from memory) after a certain amount of seconds. Auto Tab Discard doesn't discard loading tabs, tabs with about:blank URLs (tabs blocked from loading by this extension have about:blank URLs), or tabs with moz-extension URLs (session proof tabs). It works best if the option 'Make new background tabs session proof' is selected, unless you close firefox down after loading all the background tabs.
However, please read the 'Known Issues' before using 'Auto Tab Discard'.
