As of writing this review, the extension defaults to just hiding shorts/playables, and you can very easily toggle hiding thumbnails, suggested videos, and the home page. There's also a toggle for making images black and white.

This extension does exactly what it says it does and is extremely simple. No complaints from me at all, and it improves the desktop YouTube experience immensely.

Does what it sets out to do!
I find the default settings a bit aggressive, but I get where it's coming from.
I just wanted to hide playables and shorts and it works perfectly for that once configured.

I could imagine someone who wanted to hide only playables, or only shorts so I might recommend the addon developer add such an option.

I decided to bite the bullet and try this extension despite hardly any reviews. So far, it works good. Doesn't ask for any permission off of YouTube, so I think this is trustworthy enough. The add-on does what is expected, so 5 stars from me. I will update this review if anything changes
