- Rated 1 out of 5by Albert, a month agoIt worked wonderfully. But then I made the mistake of purchasing the upgrade, and now, most of the videos on youtube are not even recognized by the app. If you want to keep using it, use the free version. But don't waste your money by "upgrading", you will be really disappointed.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Manila-D, 2 months agoSimply put it doesn't work. I tried it today (March 11th 2026) and wasn't able to download anything...
UPDATE: I tried it again today (March 17th 2026) and wasn't able to download anything...
So it's easy to conclude it's still not working...
I checked with (2) friends in the US who bought the paid version and they tell me it's not working either as of (March 17th) today...
No way would I pay (what is it) $30 for a downloader that isn't working... - Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19778500, 2 months ago
- Rated 1 out of 5by Hacker598, 2 months agoI give it 1 star because it can not be given 0, no download, it forces you to spend 2 hours to continue downloading, sometimes it stops working and does not look for media, apart from that it forces you to go 2 hours without being able to download anything, does not download absolutely anything, stays in 0%, and in addition, it does not show format only audio, another thing is that you only depend on that you look for the videos automatically instead of putting an option to write the URL of the video, I am interested in

- Rated 1 out of 5by Dhar, 2 months agoAlways says "Waiting for media..." and cannot download videos, even when you force media detection. In other words, doesn't work at all.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Julien31, 2 months agoAncienne très bonne extension devenue payante.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Glacius, 2 months agoUsed to be great but now wants me to wait 2 hours in between downloads or pay 30$. POS like the rest of these types.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19761394, 2 months ago2 downloads to then force you to wait 2hs for the next makes the entire purpose of an addon like this useless.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 19755172, 2 months agowith newest update: when clearing file list, downloads are also deleted. Not acceptable at all. Obviously the author wants to sell the full version by making the free version unusable. This add-on should be deleted from the mozilla site. JDownloader 2 does the much better job for free. Available for Win and Lin. No "compagnon" app needed.
- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 18543251, 2 months agoYou need to pay a premium for something yt-dlp does for free.

- Rated 1 out of 5by Firefox user 12912919, 2 months agoTo download in 720p, do I need to be PREMIUM? That's a joke.
I prefer to use the website app.ytdown.to, where I download ALL resolutions for free. - Rated 1 out of 5by François.puko, 2 months agoIt completely breaks YouTube and other sites, changing the original format that can be downloaded to “TS” format. On YouTube, it becomes impossible to download videos in “MP4” format. Since I disabled this extension, everything has returned to normal. I ended up installing IDM (Internet Download Manager) Premium, which is faster and integrates with Firefox. I do not recommend VDH, especially the paid version, which is completely useless since they removed the file conversion feature that existed before.
