The recent update puts a watermark QR code that covers 1/8th of the screen. As you might imagine, this makes it worthless for videos where there are important details in the bottom left corner. If you're willing to pay €18.50, then it does what it says on the tin. Until then, caveat emptor.

This used to be a good add on for firefox but now with the extra tracking they do and the fact the last update made it stop working, means this extension is completely worthless just like the clowns who made this extension.

This was a fantastic extension but QR codes are now embedded in the downloaded videos.

To download a youtube video from firefox it says that you need to install a piece of software, I did so after checking it was valid, what it does not tell you is that the videos that are downloaded are imprinted with a huge watermark that makes them unwatchable, then it says that to avoid this you need to pay us almost £20. I do not mind adding paid features but to make someone download the addon, download the software and install it, go through a long download then finally to tell you about the paywall and watermark AFTER you have done all of this, it is just a huge waste of time. Will be uninstalling and would not recommend as it is a borderline scam.

after years of free downloading video's without water marks now they force a water mark on the video forcing you to pay or keep a water mark... will be uninstalling their addon plus their extra download and wont be back

Damn thing no long works. I don't mind if they want to charge for it but the trickery they are using to steal your information makes this a potential malware. Seems like download no longer works unless you install their add-on. Why does a downloader requires you to download another downloader to download videos?? I Strongly do not recommend this Video Downloader. For those on Linux use "Ultimate media Dowloader" never fails or rarely ever fails. Video Downloader is using its past good reputation to engage in potential bad practices. You can definitely tell by the number of bad 1 star ratings suddenly creeping up. Stay away from this add-on.

I registered because the stupidity of the developers of this app beyond belief.
Who's got the fu*&*** time to look for the download folder and why does the "change" option NOT work.

Do not recommend this addon anymore, it has turned into ADWARE. Hastles you about buying a premium license and watermarks videos if you dont buy one.

Have lost download button from task bar and can't replace it

do not use this add-on unless you wanna your videos to have a HUGE watermark that is not transparent at all and is actually blocking the video content you just download, making this a forced pay or you don't get anything in return
