I am using the Video DownloadHelper to download audio or video files from YouTube when using the Firefox browser. The add-on is easy to use, very intuitive and it gets updated to support a new version of YouTube. I appreciate how easy it is to select the type and the quality of download (audio only, mp4 etc.). Definitely recommended.

I'm using the beta for a couple of month. The recognition of video resolution is not that good. The resolution recognized as lower ist pretty often the higher one. I can live with that...

What I really dislike: with the new UI it shortens filenames down to 65 charakters, what is not a lot nowadays. When I change back to the old UI longer filenames are no problem.

Implies it's only an addon. It's not, it only works if you also download and install their extra software no doubt full of tracking to bypass Firefox data protection.

Implies that only certain 'converted' videos have a massive distruptive watermark. All videos in fact have a massive distruptive watermark that make the addons function pointless unless you pay. Very deceptive practices. Reported.

Excellent add-on that does exactly what it should. And keeps improving as technology advances...
