Its been free for years. Now suddenly, it puts a giant QR code on your video download and requires you to pay $28 USD to get it removed.
Guess what? I would have donated $28 if you had just asked for it. Now I will simply not use this extension and leave a bad review instead.

This NO LONGER WORKS. Before, it was a good add-on but now it's a TOTAL WASTE.

Complete trash of an extension, it doesn't warn you your downloaded video will have a huge QR code, and the only way to remove it is by paying. I'm never using this extension again

This addon was super useful, up until they made you pay for it, now it requires a "license" otherwise theres a massive water mark, whats the point of using addon vs any other free one?

VERY expensive for what you get. the free version has a QR code that overlays half of the video is some cases!

I would love to review this version, but I haven't been able to use the last few versions because I use an older operating system. I can't use any version of VDH any more, but I'm hesitant to update to a newer operating system just to get VDH, because that would be to risk a lot of my older programs suddenly becoming obsolete and potentially unreadable by newer versions of those programs, and thus losing some of my most valuable creative work. It would sure be nice if the newer versions of VDH could be back-fitted to older operating systems as well.

Had to change my review. It's no longer free. What's up with the gigantic QR code that takes up like 1/8 of the screen? Time to find an alternative.

I love using this app, it helps me download media at reliable speeds and cheat against HLS protection with usually clean outcomes. However, I just received a tab notifying me of an update, and above the links it gave me to leave a review or donate, there was a piece of AI-generated art. I could tell because of the lack of genuine symmetry, not achieving the same authentic and smooth texture you would get if you hired a living artist. I am giving it one star for that alone. Please let this serve as a reminder to pay actual artists and not use up a tremendous carbon footprint typing in a prompt for an AI to respond to.

I'm uninstalling your app! It rarely ever worked anyway, why I've kept it around for so long, who the heck knows.
But the final straw, or 2, has been throwing water marks on videos & demanding that I pay up (spoiler, I won't) & begging me for a review.

Historically this app has worked 10% of the time for me. Which, yes, begs the question, why have I kept it on my computer for so long?
Good question. I have no answer for you. But I will be uninstalling it, because the developers are turning it from garbage that does work most of the time, into garbage that they think I'll actually pay for.
