Wayback Machine by Internet Archive

by hackel, 8 years agoConstant false-positives, causing the giant Wayback Machine image to appear over an otherwise valid, working page, and causing me to loose all of my forward navigation history. Had to remove due to this extreme annoyance. Instead, it should simply show an icon in the address bar when an archived version of a page is available.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Nijaz, a month agoPerfect extension because allows quick viewing if page is already archived before, when, how many times, and allows quickly saving now, and tons of options. Faster and easier than using their site alone.

- Rated 5 out of 5by Nicolas LIENART, 6 months agoInternet Archive's Wayback machine is so useful to bypass dead links and make sure web content does not get lost in the future. This add-on makes the process really easy.

- Rated 4 out of 5by dlfkdslf, 10 months agoGreat extension with two quibbles: Sometimes a live page goes immediately to "this page is not available, do you want to see the archived version?" and I need to back out and click again. The other issue is that the "page not available" screen doesn't seem to respect dark mode settings, which can be painfully blinding in a dark room.

- Rated 4 out of 5by tuxsavvy, a year agoConvenient. Though it needs to indicate when there's a delay in registering a snapshot with the Wayback Machine for instance.
