When download says "failed" it resumes automatically after about 15 seconds.
A settings menu would be interesting (retry after X time, stop after N retries -stuff like that). - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 14680318, hace 9 mesesFirefox 146.0.1 (snap) on Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS - everything works!
- Se valoró con 4 de 5por victorlol, hace un añoIt's good, but sometimes it just... doesn't resume downloads. Still useful, though - most of the time it does resume, just not always. It also may take a while to resume, but it's definitely worth it.
- Se valoró con 5 de 5por kev kev, hace un añoThis worked flawlessly for me. I used it to download half a terabyte on an unstable connection over several days. I watched my connection go down several times causing the download to fail, and then then each time 1 minute later this extension resumed the download.
Thank you! I could have never completed my task without your extension. - Se valoró con 4 de 5por ginge, hace un añoThis extension is reported not to work for downloads that are interrupted by "network error".
However, that was not my problem. As far as I can tell, some interaction between my cloud storage provider and VPN provider made my downloads fail constantly.
This extension does restart them.
So, does not work as advertised, does work for my use case.
Good luck.

If you’re looking for an alternative, search for “Download Auto Resumer.”

- Se valoró con 4 de 5por Carsten, hace 3 añosHello Mr Abney,
it works very well for me. All downloads will continue.
I have a fast line (230 Mbit / s or about 25 to 26 MB / s) and I use an online service that works like a video recorder (www.save.tv) and I download my recorded videos, series and films from it with a size of about 2 to 4 GB per video.
Due to my (for me) quite fast line, it takes about 1 minute per GB, depending on the time of day, just a little more than 4 minutes for 4.4 GB. I also imagine that it is faster overall if the videos are downloaded one after the other. But it also works if, for example, 4 downloads are running at the same time. But then I have the impression that 4 files are slower at the same time than the same 4 files one after the other. However, I only estimated it and did not measure it.
So I sit in front of the computer and start the next download every 2 to 4 minutes.
If I now use Auto resume, all downloads in the list, and there may be 20 or more in the download list, are started at the same time.
Is it possible to add a switch or prompt for simultaneous downloads in auto resume?
That would save me a lot of work.
Unfortunately I can't post any pictures here, that would explain it better.
Thank you very much.
