por Usuario de Firefox 18862493, hace un añoI'm a little bit of a tab hoarder... And that results in all of my 32GB of RAM filling up all the time. Then I need to close the browser and open it again, to free up my RAM. My next planned step before knowing about this extension was to buy more RAM.
But this extension fixes the problem. All tabs that are not used just get their resources freed after some time. How this is not a standard feature in Firefox baffles me... So it goes without saying; This is a great extension!

I tweaked the various options to get the performance I wanted (with Gemini's help). But I made the mistake of turning on "Change favicon of discarded tabs", which causes a Z icon to appear on discarded tabs -- a feature I decided I did not like. Do not do this! Because you will never be able to turn it off again. You can easily uncheck the option, but the Z icons will never stop appearing. I tried deleting the extension and then re-installing it. I tried deleting the three favicon files in the profile. I tried turning off Firefox sync for add-ons. I tried everything Gemini and I could think of, for hours. But I've finally given up and deleted the extension. I feel like I've damaged my Firefox installation by installing Auto Tab Discard. Will a Firefox refresh fix this issue? I don't know. If the developer is reading this, please post a solution, and I'll give it a test.
