Old version was way better. Hate that little fill window I have to hit now. Every damn time I have to go back and hit that small window instead of just clicking on the whole entry. Very annoying. Will be looking to switch password managers.

Used to be just fine. Then a redesigned killed any love i have for this plugin. UX on desktop is just runied. It stopped opening at all on mobile. adding 2 extra clicks for something that required just one.. why.

Unable to close extension on Android device. Need to force restart Firefox to close extension page. Back button is not working to close the extension.

The new UI is functionally worse in every way possible. Why is it that my identities no longer automatically appear alongside my other logins? Why must I navigate to a tiny drop down menu, click on "Identities", select the identity, click another tiny hamburger button and press "autofill"? This is WITH "click items to autofill" enabled in the settings.

It's absolutely embarrassing just how much of an absolute cock up this UI update has been. I tried to be fair, I've given it awhile, trying to get used to it, trying to get over my initial wave of frustration. I tried to ignore how needlessly frivolous it is with space, how everything takes at least twice as many clicks to reach as it did previously but I just can't anymore.

Are these UI designers getting paid by how much extra time is being wasted by their god awful design? I can't think of any other reason bar extreme incompetence or actual malice for replacing a decent, working product with this steaming pile of dog shit.

Edit: The developer's response to my review clearly misses the main thrust of my entire point. I've tried all the settings that are hidden away to return basic functionality. The new UI is still worse in every measurable way.

There's no point of reading reviews as a developer if you can't parse feedback.

Used to be good. New UI is trash. Core functionalities are broken. The app freezes for 30 seconds when copying passwords or saving changes/new details. It's bad.

Way too difficult to use. It made passwords more time consuming instead of less.

Used to be the best, now they've made horrible style changes and features are starting to break and slow down. They pull useful features while adding useless ones, and the software just doesn't work like it used to. The company doesn't respond to complaints or requests anymore. Support is non-existent. This product is rapidly heading for self-destruction, and I no longer trust it.

The new UI and the subsequent response to the feedback has ruined the experience for me, and I'm looking for a new password manager.

I use the shortcut 80% of the time to fill credentials, but use the menu for sites where I have multiple logins. The redesign has made this a multi-click process, all done in a UI that has wasted space. I don't trust any organization that thought this was acceptable. They are refusing to roll back the changes or add a toggle for the old UI. Instead, they are restoring piecemeal individual features that enough people have complained about missing. It's not completely useless, but I think two stars is too generous. I'm getting out before the next ridiculous UI overhaul.

Overnight from great to unbearable. No more simple login, and no explanation of the new UI. Terrible.

The main feature of this is to fill passwords, now its a tiny little button.

As so many others already said, the most recent change of the UI is a big step backwards. Please go back to the original UI or at least make this an option. Otherwise, BW has been my favorite password manager for years.

Recent updates introduced a slow and ugly UI but worse than that -- I can't log in to some websites with the extension added to Firefox. The sites load fine when this one extension is removed. Really disappointed in another software solution being made objectively worse over time for NO REASON. STOP TOUCHING IT.

It used to be good. The new UI is not only unpleasant, but SLOW, loading regularly. Autocomplete of credit card is not working any more, not even recognizing the pages with card inputs. Will abandon the product if they will not revert the old behaviour (not talking about the UI only!).

New UI is terrible. Multiple clicks to get to an edit, Save and Cancel are in the same place, and the same color. Autofill feature got even worse with the update. I've been a very happy customer for years, and will likely be changing password managers this year :/

The new UI is terrible and adds multiple steps to a process that used to be essentially one click only. The page with the info about the new UI gave instructions for bringing back at least the click anywhere to fill option, but the menus don't have all of the options the instructions say, so it's not possible to revert. Other functionality seems to have been taken away as well or, as other reviews have said, hidden so well that I've been unable to find. Incredibly disappointing update.

Update to developer response: No this is not what I want. I repeat, I hate the new UI, so does everyone else, put it back please.

Update 1/8/2025:
The Bitwarden forum mods are now in full-force censorship on their community forum. Anyone that provides feedback saying the update severely inhibits their workflow now gets their posts deleted immediately. They've also limited posts to 1 per hour to stop all the complaints coming in. Censorship is not the answer as the world now knows, however Bitwarden is suppressing any negative feedback where they can control it.

This app has fabulous for years, but there was a HUGE UI DOWNGRADE in late 2024 and it takes many clicks now to just get logged into a site. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE UI change and I hate it!!! PLEASE, change it back!

It certainly does what it should, but the UI for filling passwords is hideous.

Currently the “fill” button occupies approximately 5% of the card. The “copy” button occupies less than that. Both of those activities are performed far more frequently than “view,” and yet the majority of the card is dedicated to “view.”

Also? This is the reverse of the way the application works in other browsers, so if you use Chrome and have it done properly, you'll be continually miserable with FireFox.

This plugin needs to create a “view” button to replace the “Fill” button and make the majority of the card “fill” the credentials.

Really great password manager! But the new UI is hoooorribly unintuitiv, really slow and buggy! Takes ages to load and when generating a new password, it does not react to changes in length anymore. Please go back, it was so great!

revert the extension and fix all of the complaints.

if you need details...
- way too much white space, with huge fonts everywhere. literally has the biggest font sizes on my screen out of anything
- slow, maybe caused by showing entire vault on the first tab. not to mention security implications
- more difficult out of the box to use with the tiny "fill" button
