Hi! I totally understand, but there are a number of factors to take into consideration when placing a picture of a person on a theme. I try to place them as well as I can.
With that said, you do have some options. I can't change the transparency of the search bar but you can remove it. I don't have my search bar visible at the top of my browser. You can see what I mean here: http://vanillaorchids.org/temp/arrow.jpg
I've also placed spacers to the right of my address bar to make it smaller so that I can see more of the right side of a theme. If you need any help with how to go about that, I have an email address on my designer page (just click on my username) that you can email me at.
