This is an essential and indispensable tool for saving videos for local viewing and keeping a copy for when links and availability change. I like saving videos for later viewing too. There are almost no other options for HD archiving. Originally implemented as a browser plugin, it's been converted to an installed application which makes it even more configurable and useful.

This addon works great! Works seamlessly, you just click to download as button, and choose the file format. I highly recommend this extension!

This is an excellent add-on for Firefox. Downloads from YouTube at 720 and 1080p are fairly fast, allows you to select the folder each time. Video quality is excellent. Also includes HQ audio downloads. Full version does require a donation but what the hell, as they say "A man's labor is worthy of hire."

Very fast support response to YT efforts to disable this 'direct download' feature.

Quick to fix an issue I had a while ago and pleased to see another automatic update. Well worth the Pro update.

I've paid for Youtube video software that didn't work as well as this, and every time Youtube changes their code, the software breaks. This is easier to use and works flawlessly. If I had one wish, it would be the ability to have the software download entire Youtube playlists at once.
