I've been using this wonderful add-on for many years and feel it's the very best for downloading YouTube videos. It's easy to set up and convenient to use, but what really impresses is the hard work and dedication involved in keeping this working while YouTube makes constant changes. It's not an add-on that can be written once and posted for users to download and install - Easy Youtube Video Downloader has to be rewritten, over and over again.

I usually have 2 or 3 web alternatives bookmarked for when a problem occurs, but when they fail they almost never update their code. I always know the author of this add-on is working on the problem and a fix will be available very soon.

Thanks again for the tireless efforts on behalf of those of us who count on this valuable - and free, or virtually free - web tool!

This Add-on is awesome, I can download my prefer music videos, lyrics and tutorials in the format that I want to listen offline.
The support is faster and I'm glad to support the developer with the premium version.

Easy and smooth to use.
I download either mp4 for video or 3gp to convert to mp3 so it always worked for me as a free version. However tx devs for this nice tool one coffee from me :)

Since 8 May 2015, I have enjoyed this add-on for the offline playing of 1080p videos. Today I found the 1080p and other mp4 menu was disappeared under the download button so I asked to help me about it then I received a super fast response to solve my problem and now the add-on works without any problem. I believe there are no other add-ons matching abilities of this add-on. Thank the author for providing this add-on. My support goes on.

For me, the ability to download YouTube videos is essential to my research and coaching—simply for purposes of referring to the exact content (never to infringe on copyright).

Not too surprisingly, YouTube continually makes changes in order to limit our ability to do this.

I am incredibly grateful that the developer of Easy Youtube Video Downloader Express not only created this add-on, but constantly updates it to work in a changing YouTube landscape.

I am happy to support this developer, and recommend that others 1) use this add-on, 2) post reviews here to share our experiences with it, and 3) support the developer with a "cup of coffer" now and then.

This tool has been very useful for downloading videos from youtube. It's easy to get started and select resolution and then start downloading. Advantage is not having to copy/paste the video address at the top in the address line. Just a few clicks is all you need.

Pro version works great. Well worth the donation :-)

Just what I need: Minimal no-nonsense interface and rapid upgrade when youtube changes it's format, breaking all the similar tools.

It all comes down to one thing: does it work? Yes. The download button seamlessly fits into the browser as if it had been coded into the browser from the beginning. Lots of choices for format.

One thing you should know is that your download can still be completing itself when the media is finished playing. Watch it growing in Windows Explorer!

The creator of this program tirelessly updates the code to adapt to changes in YouTube. I open my browser to find a tab with the newly updated YouTube Video Downloader. I don't have to do a thing. And there's support if you need it, though I never have.

Many years ago I originally downloaded this for free. It performed so well that I recently bought it. Ten dollars isn't too much for years of service. I'm still seeing the donate/leave a review/share screen though. That has something to do with cookies.

So, if you need to download something from YouTube, this is the program to use.
