The moment I click connect, the extension turns "green" (connected) within milliseconds, but no pages load and it throws a "Connection Timed Out" error. I have checked all network settings and DNS configurations on my system. While other competing VPN extensions work flawlessly on the exact same system, only Proton's extension gets stuck in this fake connection loop and fails to route traffic properly at the OS layer. This extension urgently needs an update to match the quality of the overall service. Until the extension is fixed, my rating is 1 star.Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 3 mesesSorry to hear that. Are both your browser and the Proton VPN extension up-to-date? Do you have any other extensions installed for privacy/security purposes? What type of internet connection are you using? Please reach out to us at https://protonvpn.com/support/contact with more details. We'd be happy to help once we've gained a better understanding of the problem. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por ee, hace 4 mesesdoesn't work it just makes my browser non functional, the app works fine though

publicado el hace 4 mesesSorry to hear that. Could you describe the issue in more detail? What are the specific steps you're taking that lead to the problem? Are you receiving any error messages? Which Firefox version and Proton VPN extension version do you have installed? Contact us at https://protonvpn.com/support/contact with more details so we can help.
Meanwhile, try reinstalling the extension from scratch to see if there's any improvement. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por Overlord69, hace 4 mesesI can't tell what's currently going on but starting since today I can't use the addon anymore. Every time I try to connect to a server the whole browser freezes and if I wait long enough, it crashes. I have to open Firefox in troubleshooting mode and remove the addon, because as soon as I enable it it tries to connect to a server and the browser freezes.

publicado el hace 5 mesesThe default Connect option will connect you to the fastest available server for you. This leads to better load balancing and higher speed, which is a priority for free users. That said, you still have the option to switch to another randomly allocated server by disconnecting and reconnecting, or you can upgrade to connect to a specific server in a country of your choice.
As for the issue you're experiencing, could you share more details? Where exactly have you observed the leak? Are you using any other VPN, proxy, or custom DNS services? Are you using any firewall or antivirus? Contact us at https://protonvpn.com/support/contact so we can help you troubleshoot. - Se valoró con 1 de 5por MrMcSavvy, hace 5 mesesExtension completely bricks FireFox. Fails to connect and remains stuck at which time, all functionality of the browser has stopped. Cannot open settings, cannot click the extension icon, nothing. Assumed it may have been the core secure function causing the hang up, so I did a refresh on FireFox. Reinstalled the extension and same issue happened. Had to do another refresh of FireFox.

publicado el hace 5 mesesWe're sorry to see that you're dissatisfied. A Proton VPN account is required in order to utilize the browser extension. Keep in mind, however, that having an account does not endanger your privacy and security in any way. Nonetheless, we've shared your feedback with the team accordingly.- Se valoró con 1 de 5por Oliver Salzburg, hace 6 mesesPops up annoying "please rate our app" spam, right when you need to adjust a setting.

Then the next day when i try to load any page, it will fail. Even if I disconnect from the VPN it still fails. The only thing that works is to delete the entire extension and redownload it and log in, which takes too long.
