you're right, and it was a real bug on our side. "include tab groups" was off by default, and with it off a save skipped grouped tabs completely - they weren't saved and weren't closed, so saving a window looked like it ignored half of it.
fixed, ships in the next version. grouped tabs get saved with their name and colour and restored back into a group.
if you want it working today: settings, tab groups section, turn on include tab groups. that's the switch.
sorry for the trouble.- Se valoró con 4 de 5por jojojo, hace un mes

Can you add an option to not switch to TheTab tab after using "save tabs on the left/right"? I want to save them in the background and continue what I'm doing without a interruption.Respuesta del desarrollador

it's live in the latest version. open settings, go to after saving / restoring, and turn on the background option. now save tabs on the left/right saves quietly and keeps you on your current tab, no jump to TheTab.
thanks again for the nudge, you made it better - Se valoró con 5 de 5por K0RR, hace 5 mesesThanks for implementing that! Option to not switch to the restored tab (essentially open it in the background) would be nice.
