por Usuario de Firefox 13569153, hace 9 añosThis extension shows a lot of promise, and is currently the best webextension-based vim extension there is (of which I've used vimium, vim-vixen, and saka-key). I really like how easy it is rebind keys and use a "command mode" just like real vim. The developers of this extension update and improve things on a regular basis. There are some problems however:
- inability to change or disable the ugly new-tab page
- hint mode misses a few links on some websites
- ability to disable the extension on some websites (ignore mode is only temporary)
- ability to change the search engine when using the "open" command
- vim-like searching using /, ?, and n/N
- (probably an issue with webextensions) won't work on about: pages and addon pages
Even with the above issues, this extension is still very good and stable. I wish the developers luck in working around the limitations of webextensions API.

A couple of your issues have already been resolved at least partially:
You can change the default search engine with `set searchengine [keyword]` and add new search keywords with `searchsetkeyword [keyword] [url]`.
You can change the newtab page (at least, the one navigated to with `*open`) with `set newtab [url]`.
This does expose another issue, though: our documentation isn't very good yet.

I've found that it doesn't completely replace mouse navigation for me; several sites I use have nonconventional clickable elements (not buttons/hrefs) and so the `f` finder doesn't highlight them, and `;;` highlights so many things it's hard to find the right one.
I'm still solidly on the learning curve, but it's already made certain actions way quicker for me, and I love the command line- with some quick theming it's probably the coolest thing about my Firefox now!
The native plugin works seamlessly too- and the ability to edit text in my preferred editor (Shoutout to Helix!) has been great as well.
Solid work, highly recommended to give it a shot if you like modal editors. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 17112212, hace 4 mesesfantastique. tridactyl is the most thought out and perfected exploration of what is imo an important branch of browsers as technology.

It is comparable in terms of raw power and capability to Qutebrowser, which is remarkable. I have yet to find a use case where a Qutebrowser solution did not also work in Tridactyl. My favorite features include the `:command` mode to execute complex commands (including chaining them), the ability to use custom JavaScript, the tridactylrc file (makes it easy to sync dotfiles), the ability to control other add-ons, and the ability to control Firefox itself (i.e., clear history, local storage, etc: by time or whatever). It is without a doubt the most feature-rich Vim-like browser add-on; as a result, it also loads the slowest. It also currently has issues with Google Docs/Sheets/Drive, so you may need to use an alternative (like Vimium) for those sites. Lastly, this add-on also requires the most learning and configuration to use efficiently, as it is the most complex. In conclusion, if you are a power user who strives to abandon the mouse entirely with full control over the browser, then Tridactyl is the add-on for you. But if you just want something simple, then Vimium or Surfing Keys are always an option too.

I just remove default Ctrl-f bind since it is burned into my muscle memory that it’s this to find on a web browser. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Flat, dark and simple, hace 9 mesesAmazing extension, only lacking on the theme documentation
