- Se valoró con 5 de 5por reb, hace 10 díasi often use an HDMI-to-RCA converter to watch youtube on my old CRT TV. by default, it just squishes everything to fit on the 4:3 screen. i use UltraWideo to un-squish my youtube videos.
it's always been a lifesaver for that, and this new update just made it even better. the pan feature is ingenious - now, if the 4:3 screen is cutting off something important, i can reposition the video so that it isn't. highly recommend this extension!Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 10 díasWoah, that sounds like quite a setup. Appreciate the honest feedback! - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Lyokocentipoid, hace 12 díasIt works. I personally don't like the shortcuts since I have a touchscreen laptop. I hope the developer make them optional soon!
In response to the developer: yes, exactly. The gestures should be opt-in. I would suggest only keyboard shortcuts for touchscreen devices. Thanks!Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace 10 díasThank you for the feedback. Are you saying that you'd prefer if gestures were opt-in? - Se valoró con 5 de 5por valanor, hace 21 díasLast update is the best sure it asks for some data but all the content is screched always now espeically if you want to watch twitch on ultrawide and see the chat full video like full full screen and chat just besides great work dev man

publicado el hace 5 mesesHello,
Last update was: 3 months ago (Jan 4, 2026)
So nothing was changed "recently". It's either something related to Linux or an extension that you have installed that is conflicting with UltraWideo. If you have any extensions that have similar purpose, uninstall them.
Also, have you tried uninstalling entirely and installing again? If you did, and it still does not work, I am happy to check it out over AnyDesk or something that you have on Linux.
I have no clues otherwise why it would stop working for some users. I've been getting straight 1 star reviews with no helpful feedback on GitHub that would help me to debug and resolve the issue.
Aside, working fine for me in Firefox 148 on macOS.
Any help is appreciated!
Best,
Nenad Novakovic.
EDIT:
Thanks for editing your review. Don't harm yourself with such words, over it.
I would appreciate to hear what was the issue that you encountered, as it may be the same reason why two/three users below gave me one star. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por FearWhat, hace un año

publicado el hace un añoThank you for your input. I did not expect this tiny watermark to be huge annoyance, but seeing many negative feedback the watermark is removed in version 3.5.1. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19172277, hace un añoThis was originally a 1-star review of a version that had a watermark added in the non-Pro version. After kindly listening to our feedback, the developer changed this, and I can now wholeheartedly recommend the add-on! Much appreciated.

OG: Works great for cropping widescreen to 4:3. Although in 3.5.0 a watermark was added for free users, shame it used to be open-source too :/Respuesta del desarrollador

- Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 19031810, hace un añoThis fixed the problem where when I would try to watch anime on my websites this allowed me to force a true full screen aspect ratio thanks
- Se valoró con 5 de 5por lulul, hace un añoi don't have an ultrawide monitor, but since every video now has some other aspect ratio than the regular 16:9 monitors, this extension is a must.
thank you and good job! - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Usuario de Firefox 15274463, hace un año
- Se valoró con 5 de 5por Buschti, hace un añoI had to downgrade to Version 3.3.4 because the Addon doesn't work on some sites it used to work with. Example 1: "heute.de" (reroutes to zdf.de) videos show a black screen, when viewed in fullscreen mode. Example 2: I sometimes watch videos via the Plex Web App and since the newest version the Addon doesn't seem to register the player anymore and stays in 16:9 in fullscreen mode.
Both sites work fine with the downgraded version.
EDIT: fixed the problems I had with it. Thumbs up!Respuesta del desarrollador
publicado el hace un añoFixed for "zdf.de". They added some kind of weird padding to the wrapper of the container , so extension will now remove that extra thing from their platform. But I will wait for release to see if there are any other issue reports that I can resolve.
Can you tell me more about Plex? I just tried it and it seems to work the same way it was. I wait for ad to finish, movie starts, I go fullscreen – it works. - Se valoró con 5 de 5por Lauren, hace 2 años
