From the many download apps I have tried VDH has proven to be the most reliable one for tasks outside the youtube world !

I mostly use streaming downloads/ best possible quality and usually get a failure rate of less than 5%. My current laptop is not the newest and fastest, so I partly blame the low download speed on that machine. We shall know more soon, as I am hoping to have a better PC soon.
