This was a great and frequently used add-on on my older OSX system. On OSX Catalina however, it has not been possible to install properly. VDH does not recognize the helper app even though it is present in applications folder and I am promptded to install it again everytime I try to use the app.

Didn't work for me. I'm downloading a 1 hour video tho. I don't know if it will work for short videos, but it's simply just didn't work for my case

Ich nutze den Download DownloadHelper seit Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden. Weiter so und nicht nachlassen.Firefox ist ok. Den Browser nutze ich sehr gerne.Viele Grüße Günter

Very happy with the Video Download Helper add-on app. It is set-up by the developer to get most media from the websites you travel through. I'm sure the add-on can be tweaked by changing the settings to fetch the media you weren't getting with the out of the box way it works without messing with settings and having it not work at all cause it was a 1/4 turn right, not a 1/2 turn left an analogy to say let the working do just that, stay working! Isn't broke, don't break by changing things you're not sure on their purpose. When I had issues and this add-on didn't work. A simple search through the app store and I solved my issue and haven't found anything I can't download. Also using Firefox browser is much better then chrome that has banned a lot of the downloading add-ons from their store. Googles monopoly by law needs to be broke apart and sold to individual companies with zero ties to have competition. Our waste of air government legislative branches that need the current government for dummies how too book. The censoring alone is enough to say they are or just make them a publisher so all has free rights to sue them for allowing lies and banning the truth to push political narratives.
