Used to be a great add on. It used to be easy to use. One click and you could download a video and convert it without any hassle. Now it is too complicated and doesn't work most of the time.

Suddenly quit working. The downloads won't play. They are corrupt.

This used to work well, but at some point it became unusable. Videos only download at a horrible, blocky resolution, and they have a giant QR code appended to the top-left - and that's if you can get it to download at all. I tried downloading and converting one video, and it took over 6 hours without completing before I gave up and tried another addon (which completed it at higher quality, with no QR, in a fraction of the time).

I know things cost money and I think having free versions with limited functionality is a good way of getting people to upgrade, but that free version should at least work somewhat well. This doesn't.

Used to be great. Now it download everything as a webm, poor quality even when 1080p selected and put a big QR code on top left corner that send you to a registration to pay now for the extension. No thanks.

tried to use it for couple weaks now, never even once managed to actually download anything, I mean yea I have a file it downloaded but its corruped/cant be opened.
The interface is confusing especially if you download their software.

This addon is scam of paywall captcha just to make people pay, i hate it and the way it's promoted, if you want money find a better way please.

I can't find an older version of firefox, where can I find it? If I find it (.deb), will it work even though I have installed the snap version???

Funktioniert leider nicht mehr. Die zusätzliche Software, die man dafür benötigt, lässt sich unter Windows zwar intallieren, wird aber vom Add-on nicht erkannt. Es kommt nur noch die Fehlermeldung: Prüfen der Begleitanwendung ergab: An unexpected error occurred.
Ohne diese Begleitanwendung ist das Add-on leider nutzlos. Support gibt es keinen. Das Support-Forum unter Google Groups ist von Google gesperrt mit dem Hinweis: Die Gruppe "Video DownloadHelper Q&A" enthält anscheinend Spam, Malware oder andere schädliche Inhalte.

War mal eine gute Erweiterung. Seit neuestem wird nach einer "Begleitanwendung" gefragt. Installiert man sie, wird dennoch jedes mal aufs neue nach einer Begleitanwendung gefragt. Nutzlos geworden. Schade. Installation für Ubuntu lohnt nicht.
