I would not even begin to know how to get videos offline without this program. I just wish they still allowed you to rename a file before downloading. Then it would be 5 stars all the way!

Video DownloadHelper é uma extensão muito útil para quem quer praticidade em baixar vídeos e outras mídias de sites que, muitas vezes, não dão essa opção.
A oportunidade de melhoria seria em relação a intuitividade, visto que até aprender a usar, leva um tempo.
outro ponto: eventualmente, quando demoro um pouco pra encontrar a pasta onde desejo salvar o arquivo a ser baixado, ele fecha a tela subtamente, gerando a necessidade de realizar o procedimento desde o início.

I've used Video DownloadHelper for many years, as the technology and the rules of the game changed, and I'm very impressed with the efforts made to keep up with the latest requirements. Though sometimes it took a little extra effort to keep up, myself, it's been well worth it and my thanks (as well as an occasional contribution) go out to those responsible.

It doesn't ask for download directory. I disabled "use last..." but no change. Otherwise one of the best addons ever. Thank you.

I've been using the Video DownloadHelper for quite a number of years and have found it to be a really useful extension. The way it works is if you are viewing a video on a website that does not have a facility to download the video to your hard drive, the VDH extension will allow you to do this, it will allow you to specify where you want to save it (which folder) and will allow you to specify a pernonalised name for the video that you are saving.

The only downside I found is that you only get told, after the fact, that you should install a secondary extension to be able to save the video. After the installation, and after your first attempt to download a video, you get a prompt to add a secondary, accompanying extension which allows you to save your files effectively. That's just a minor annoyance which quickly dissipates once you learn how useful this extension can be. It will even allow you to download a Youtube video with options of varying quality.

This is a very nice add on that helps me download videos on the page.

Ziemlich nützlich. Leider merkt er sich nur in der Firefox-Maske, auf welchem Ordner man zuletzt war, und nicht im normalen Dialog.

If there aren't copyright locks or the like to prevent a download, this little app will pretty consistently get it done for the most common video formats. It can be a little hit-or-miss with FLV, but no civilized person uses flash video much these days, anyway.
