I like that it detects, downloads and converts all types of video file formats, and, it even does it with streaming media. Only drawback is renaming a file, before it gets saved. You can't use the Backspace or Delete keys. If you do, the Save File dialog box (window) automatically closes and the file is saved by the filename given by your browser. If the developers can fix this problem in a future revision, it would be great. Until then, I'll give it 4 Stars (less than great).

Have to admit its an excellent product. Continues to be updated, gives a listing of the video formats and resolution, and on the right of each listed video is an arrow menu that identifies the URL and other details handy for analysis or if you want to use it in combination with other software.

Very useful to download videos easily, quickly and choosing from a variety of formats and qualities whenever available in the source website.

It has its quirks, but works and no longer seems to reset configuration. With the companion app, more flexibility.

This has been my go-to video download add-on for a couple of years, at least. Very prompt to adapt to Firefox updates as necessary, and the developer offers clear and concise directions and explanations for any changes or fixes that may alter the UI. Keeps you within the browser and seamlessly sends your download to your chosen destination folder. It has more features than I have had a need for, so far. I just can't complain! Thanks, mig!

Video Download Helper is one of the reasons why i have started using Mozilla Firefox back then. and now with it's updated versions, it is clearly ahead of any other down loader software.

Setze diese Erweiterung mehrmals wöchentlich ein. Vor allem um Audios von div. Radiostationen als MP3 zu speichern. Sie funktioniert in der Regel anstandslos und zu meiner Zufriedenheit.
Nur bei einigen Fernsehstationen jedoch klappt es nicht mit dem Download.
Dennoch werde ich diese Erweiterung auch in Zukunft verwenden.

Depuis que j'utilise VidéoDownloadHelper, je suis beaucoup plus libre de visionner mes vidéos préférées lorsque j'assure les nuits sur mon lieu de travail (après les avoir enregistrées à mon domicile) et à mon rythme. En particulier, les vidéos de mes cours de japonais, qui ne sont pas accessibles depuis les PC du bureau. Par ailleurs, le fait de les enregistrer permet de les visionner à son rythme, et cela quelle que soit la qualité de la connexion. S'il y a un bémol, c'est seulement que certains formats sont incompatibles, mais cela doit représenter moins de 10% des cas. J'espère à ce sujet que l'équipe en charge du développement s'en occupe. Works as intended and fits my uses up to 720p. Above that you need a 3rd party application which is slow and sticks a huge QR code on the video

I tried a lot of extension to download videos and this one is the only who seems to work on almost all kind of videos. Added to this, you can convert directly the file in a different format, for instance a video to mp3, usefull for music and even convert local files ! Unfortunately, nowadays right protections seems more powerfull and I'm not able to download videos from TV website like "ARTE" and protected youtube videos, for which I use "youtube-dl" directly from terminal on linux.

J'adore son ergonomie qui le rend facile d'utilisation. Je peux voir facilement les téléchargement qui sont terminés, ceux en cours et ceux qui ont échoué.

Ce serait encore mieux de permettre de reprendre une vidéo qui échoue sans devoir ré ouvrir la page de la vidéo.

Le seul inconvénient est qu'il faut redémarrer le navigateur à chaque changement de dossier de destination.

Je ne voudrais pas faire de commentaires tellement je ne voudrais pas qu'il soit célèbre au point d'être bloqué.
