after years of free downloading video's without water marks now they force a water mark on the video forcing you to pay or keep a water mark... will be uninstalling their addon plus their extra download and wont be back

Damn thing no long works. I don't mind if they want to charge for it but the trickery they are using to steal your information makes this a potential malware. Seems like download no longer works unless you install their add-on. Why does a downloader requires you to download another downloader to download videos?? I Strongly do not recommend this Video Downloader. For those on Linux use "Ultimate media Dowloader" never fails or rarely ever fails. Video Downloader is using its past good reputation to engage in potential bad practices. You can definitely tell by the number of bad 1 star ratings suddenly creeping up. Stay away from this add-on.

VDH is a versatile tool to download videos from many, many sites. It gets used almost every day for me, and is indispensible to save many health-related podcasts and webinars to review later. Highly recommended as an add-on.

Youtube keeps trying to stop people from being able to download their videos, and this team keeps updating the software to allow the downloading to work. The speed with which this team responded so far this year (2025) has been impressive.

I watch anime, and the site I use authorizes downloading but doesn't provide a way to do it. Video DownloadHelper works perfectly for that!

It doesn't work on YouTube

Do not recommend this addon anymore, it has turned into ADWARE. Hastles you about buying a premium license and watermarks videos if you dont buy one.
