Used it once. Put a 25% watermark on the video and demand I pay money to avoid that again in the future. Immediately uninstalled and back to using web services.

Most videos require an extra software to be installed on your computer, what the developer calls a "companion app", even though it should not be necessary since a simple video grab is clearly within the web browsers ability.

VERY SLOW to download and merge a short 55MB music video at selected 720p resolution. Then the final product was very low res, only 15MB in size and had a huge Q-code on the corner. Waste of time and effort. I have tried this addon about a year ago and had similar issues. It is now on my blacklist to prevent more wasted time.

Technically, this is a very good downloader, the trouble is that when it comes to practicality, the free version becomes pretty useless as the makers have ensured that for the videos most people want to download -notably anything Pop-music related- are usually ADP -meaning they have a large watermark- or are so low quality that they're not worth doing. In short, a fundamentally mean-spirited sprat to catch a mackerel -I'd recommend instead using downloaders such as Ant that are more generous with what they allow.

I have been using this Add-On, on and off for years now, but for some reason, you now need a app companion to download the videos, I am sad to see this app go, but i am not willing to pay $28.50 USD to download a few videos from time to time! thank you for the great Add-On, sorry you ruined it with that extra companion app.

Previously it was of great value but now you just download and install after that it doesn't work. Waste addon!

Memory leak on Youtube Live

Screw this addon for forced conversion of videos in order to add that stupid ugly ass QR code in them. My CPU overheated because of the conversion load and my notebook restarted because of that. As a result I lost some data I was working on.

Did not work. Running Firefox 60.4.0esr (64-bit). Attempted twice to download a 90 minute video from YouTube. According to NetWorx, VDH downloaded all 1700 megabytes of the MP4, but after the download was completed, all that was in the download folder was a 100 mB clip with only a few seconds of the beginning of the video. And it was not in the folder that I had specified in Settings. A search of the hard drive failed to uncover just where the app had placed the 1700 mB data stream while it was downloading, so I assume the app erased it. Removed this extension, I'll have to try and find something else.
