I see complaints from reviewers about paying $30 for the full version to avoid the watermark on copied videos, but I've been using the paid version of Videodownloadhelper for over two years and have downloaded hundreds of videos very easily. Yes, when there are updates it has taken me a minute to find where to add the lifetime key (could be more intuitive, Paul!), but it's doable and $30 is a small price to pay for lifetime use! It works great - many thanks!!

Freeware/adware as of 2025. Requires external companion app (CoApp) to download videos which itself injects a watermark with link to payment for removal. Ever since this change the extension rarely gets updated

Used to work just fine, but now it started to force you to donwload an entire additional app on your pc in order to download anything, even seconds long youtube videos

Complete scam. Super simple Firefox addon now tries to nickle-and-dime users by crippling the download functionality with a big honkin' QR code plastered across it. Steer clear of this one and get one of the others that are actually free.

Good One. Easy To use

Videos have a huge qr code watermark. It costs $30.50 to remove it. Other websites can do it free.

All is great! except if you go to save a file and then move out of that window to look at something else, the download moves into the downloads and shows as taking place (when it's not actively downloading) and no way to delete it except a restart of the plugin.

Giant QR code on "FREE" extension is not so good idea

Ah yes, a free tool now slapping a giant QR-Code onto your video. It's not like there's hundreds of alternatives that do the exact same thing this simple add-on does.
