Télécharge comme dans les années 90. Pas de reprise de téléchargement. Les vidéos ne sont pas nommés de manière intelligente. Les vidéos téléchargés sont en 360p alors que le paramètre était 1080p ! Consomme beaucoup de ressource, même sur un Core Ultra. Ne devrait pas être recommandé par Mozilla.

Was the best for a long, long time, but now there is a huge QR code on every video.

It used to be free and easy to use, nowadays most features are behind a paywall which is needlessly obscured until you actually install the thing. Would honestly be fine with it if the description mentioned this is now primarily a paid app.

It used to be a great tool for downloading video, but they've changed to a pay service and now the videos have a code on them and you would have to buy a conversion license for $30 to view. There are many other free options for doing this like 9xbuddy or Stacher.

Used to be good, started being daft. Doesn't recognise there is a video most of the time. If it does, it doesn't recognise it correctly and wants to name it as the last video downloaded; not the one actually present. I honestly don't know why I bother.

Downloads videos [not mp3 unless you pay], demands additional download of program, puts a QR code on top of the video if you do not pay. Drop this shite.

С Youtube не скачивает видео (скачивает на очень очень медленной скорости, и в какой-то момент вообще перестает грузить, останавливаясь на каком-то количестве процентов). Так же заметил глюк, что видео при попытке скачки иногда неправильно именуются (к примеру как предыдущий просмотренный видеоролик).
Ставлю 2 звездочки вместо одной, только потому что возможно с каких-то сайтов видео он все таки умеет качать (не проверял особо активно).

The free version seems easier. I purchased the license hoping to download videos directly to MP3 but those options are not apparent. The "help" section of VDH shows screenshots that indicate selecting the output file format as MP3. In reality, what shows up (in my updated Firefox browser) looks nothing like the screenshot in their help section.

The only download format options I get are MP4s and MKV. In addition, if I start the download and realize I want it saved into a different folder, I have to cancel the download, go into settings and change the destination folder. But then the VDH will not allow me to download again from that same browser. I have to close the video, open a new tab and then cue it up again. BIG TIME WASTER.

If you want to download directly to MP3 you have to right click the 3 dots to the right of the "Download" and then "Download Audio" will appear as an option. This was very difficult to figure out.

In other words, the paid version is cumbersome and time consuming.

I did download their open source add but you need to close and re-open your browser, and even then the options to download and convert are not user friendly.

Works but it's completely unusable with the watermark. It's basically an adware now

rating 2/5 because on average only 2/5 videos manage to download without failing.

the new UI is also terrible, i genuinely have no idea why the legacy UI shows time remaining and the new one doesnt

oh and if you decide to use the companion app i hope you want to keep it because it doesnt show up in apps so its a pain to uninstall

J'ai de plus en plus l'impression que cette extention, lorsque l'on enregistre plusieurs video en meme temps, a une facheuse tendance à bloquer firefox lequel indique pendant plusieurs minute (Not responding!) et parfois meme ne revient pas et il faut tout fermer !!!!


Toujours et encore de trop nombreux blocages. Les enregistrements se bloquent et s’arrêtent sans raison. ou inversement il devient impossible de stopper un enregistrement en cours. Firefox iss alors not responding !!! - c'est un peu dommage ! 2025.01.26



Fonctionne souvent bien mais parfois avec des lenteurs(1 à 20 sec avant d'afficher le nom de la vidéo à l’écran et de pouvoir choisir le format et ensuite débuter l'enregistrement du mp4. Trop nombreuses propositions mp3. Nombreux cas également où ca n'accroche pas du tout.il faut recommencer plusieurs fois en changeant de page. Quelques fois également l'enregistrement final refuse de stopper puis généralement échoue. Il faut parfois même arrêter firefox. 2024.12.16- Toujours trop de propositions mp3 sans interets qui ralentissent la possibilité d'enregistrer le debut de la video 2024.12.22


Avril 2025 actuellement de tres nombreux doublons de propositions d'enregistrement totalement identiques et parfois meme souvent des temps d'attente trop long avant de pouvoir demarer un enregistrement



encore et oujours des bugs ! notamment celui de ne pas pouvoir arreter un enregstrement en direct (streaming?) il faut carrement stopper firefox et tout fermer pour rompre le lien et bien sur l'enregistrement ne sera pas effectué

Est ce le add-on qui bug ou Firefox difficile a dire car j'observe egalement bombre de cas ou firefox ne repond pls !
