The add-on coerces users to download a companion app. The video files for which it suggests it's companion app is required are easily downloadable by the direct http address of the video, proving further that the app uses disinformation to achieve its goal of installation of its "companion app".

Latest update has made it necessary to also update Companion App. It says you just need this for ADP downloads, but even if you select a HLS download it also insists on the App.
Then your download ADP gets "Watermarked" with a QR code, and you have to pay to remove.
Claims Watermark is only on ADP, but if you download HLS, only get Audio...

Useful tool with some limitation. Need to install some additional companion apps. I could be nice if they're automatically included from start.

Loved it until it started nagging me. Don't love it so much now. If anyone has a better downloader thatworks and doesn't nag please let me know. Thanks and have a great day.

watermark ruins videos

the best downloader extension on firefox honestly. ive been using it to download almost any video file i can find. to date, ive downloaded more than 10k files! haha wow.

to those having trouble, please download the companion app. i can download 7 videos at once and watch 1 at the same time while uploading videos. i havent seen any watermarks, that has to be your connection or the place you download from detects it. this has been my go to for almost 10 years. no problems with it. if it wont download play the video for 4 minutes then try again works for me. thank you to the team that created this, fricken life saver!!! wish i had enough to donate. keep up the good work!

Super But I couldn't find a shortcut to open the extension directly. I like simplicity so I don't want to pin it.
