par Daniel K. Frayer, il y a 6 heuresThanks! Including some kind of ability to default to exclude AI results, or even to start with results under a listed category, be it "Short Videos", Web", or anything else, would seem to be an obvious quality-of-life or ease-of-use features on Google, but it's been many years since Google last made even some meager attempt to not "be evil" to its users. These days, no one should be the least bit surprised to see Google hoovering up every last bit of private data on users it can, the users' intentions and best interests be damned.
It's not clear to me what sort of added utility AI is supposed to add to users' experience, and with or without AI, Google search results have consistently and substantially declined in quality over the past few years, so users must be satisfied to take their meager wins where they can find them.
TLDR: this add-on effectively provides a very simple and straightforward way to default to results that don't include AI replies. It looks like not everyone who's tried it has had a similar experience, but speaking for myself, it works exactly as I had hoped it would, and I am grateful that some kind soul went out of his or her way to take the time to provide this service.

- Noté 4 sur 5par sindhu, il y a 3 moisThank you! Keep in mind that other functions like calculator and conversion don't work as well. But, overall worth it.
- Noté 2 sur 5par Dan, il y a 5 moisSadly is manifest v3, not v2, so after every Fx patch user has to give permission over and over again. :/
- Noté 3 sur 5par enneh, il y a 6 moisredirects you from the google search "all" tab to the "web" tab which does in fact hide the ai overview, but i already had it so it does that automatically. also the "web" tab doesn't have that nice big box with relevant information

- Noté 2 sur 5par TheFoxTrotte, il y a un anIt works for getting rid of the AI stuff, but unfortunately it also gets rid of the classic sumlmary function, as well as all the stuff that comes up when you look up a movie, a book, a song etc
- Noté 1 sur 5par BambusSchlong, il y a un ancauses Red Google Maps Pins (when you search for something) to open a "google.com/search?q=local+guide+program" Page with 3 related unclickable links. Makes Google Maps almost unusable

- Noté 2 sur 5par Yepitsme, il y a un anDoes what it says, however it also removes any local searches such as "___ near me", calculator, and weather. It relies on the web section rather than all, thus limiting searches heavily. I much prefer "AI overview hider for google" on here because it allows for regular searches that this application doesn't permit

- Noté 5 sur 5par Anmol, il y a un anUnfortunately, google made it so that their calculator, measurement conversions, etc. also uses udm=14. There isn't anything that this extension can do about it, but it is worth noting.
