par Penny, il y a 3 moisI'm transfem. I avoid discourse and argumentative posts on tumblr for my own mental health, and I made a side blog to uplift trans, nonbinary, and intersex folks: mutual aid, fun memes, positivity/reassurances, guides/tips for transition, and so on. I stayed in my lane and wanted to make people happy with my little zen garden of a blog.
My blog then got marked as red and I started getting non-stop harassment and doxxing in my asks and messages. I received messages telling me I was a danger to trans women, that I was faking my gender and that I'm secretly a "filthy theyfab tme MRA", that I was a psyop infiltrating the community, and so on. And of course, plenty of death threats, suicide bait, and slurs that I cannot in good conscience list here.
The reason? Because I had been reblogging posts uplifting transmascs and intersex people. I even responded to some of the asks stating where I even posted anything that could be seen as remotely harmful to trans women, and the *only* response I ever got was linking to a post saying "love your local trans men". That was it. That was the only 'proof' I ever got. After years of running that positivity blog, it was me sharing a post saying trans men deserve love that got me marked as red. I was forced to deactivate. And now I'm glad I never linked my main account to that alt account of mine, or else I'd probably have lost that one too. All because I, a transfem, wanted to show some love to my other trans siblings.
From time to time, I'll see screenshots of tumblr users who have been marked green with this plugin. Users that I have seen say the most vile transphobic and intersexist stuff ever (and also, often, pretty blatantly racist too, but that's not the scope of this plugin). And yet these people are marked green, despite their blogs being full of BLATANT transphobia against anyone who isn't transfem (and the "right" kind of transfem, as I can personally attest to now).
So to the users marking this 5 stars defensively, saying "ummm maybe you wouldn't be marked red if you cared about transfems :) after all this plugin is for us, not for you :) you're all just terfs who are mad at us for wanting to be safe :)"
Yeah, I guess so. I guess this plugin *is* for you, now. It used to be for all trans people, for marking transphobia of any kind, no matter what. Now the devs have rewritten the rules to exclude certain anti-transmasc slurs as being considered transphobic, constantly mark transmascs, enbies, and intersex folks as red for just existing, and let actual bigots run around rampant with a lil green box around their name. Transfems that uplift their transmasc siblings, even if they don't engage in the discourse, get marked as red and chased out of the community.
This plugin, way back in the day, used to simply mark transphobes. A flawed system, perhaps (having a plugin that simply shows 'good' or 'bad' people is going to be abused in some way), but I can't say the goal wasn't noble. Now when I see a screenshot of a tumblr user and they're marked green, I check their blog, and 80% of the time they're engaging in harassment against anyone who isn't in their little circle of trans radfems. And I do not say 'radfem' lightly -- I'm seeing actual radfem rhetoric being used to silence anyone they think is the 'enemy' to them. It is a disgusting reversal. Y'all literally harassed punkitt for MONTHS for saying basic, tame, milquetoast shit like "Hey maybe being mean to trans men is wrong, actually", because you've become so steeped in this ridiculous infighting discourse. And this plugin is just the right hand of the law to you.
So thanks, shinigami eyes and the fanatics that support it: you've made an infighting tool that lets you destroy anyone you want by marking them red for the pettiest reasons ever. You've made a plugin that allows you to ostracize whichever queer people personally piss you off.
"Safe for transfems" my ass.
Signed, a transfem that y'all decided to make un-safe.

- Noté 2 sur 5par sd, il y a 14 heuresI used it for years. It used to be very good at telling if someone is more covert about their transphobia-
However, lately, the people doing all the rating and anybody who might be approving those ratings only seem to care about trans women (and not even all trans women, seemingly just the ones repeating radfem rhetoric), and nobody else. I have seen people marked red for no reason other than supporting transgender men, nonbinary people, and intersex people. Most of whom never used that "transandrophobia" term that people seem to hate so much.
Seems like trans 4channers also get marked as green frequently as well. You mean to tell me the woman I saw talking about "TME theyfab pooners" is pro-trans? She probably isn't even pro-trans in regards to herself, let alone others who don't fit specific standards. - Noté 5 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 20071927 de Firefox, il y a 3 jours
- Noté 2 sur 5par SpoopySoup, il y a 4 joursI just want a little bit more transparency, more options in the options page (like more colors for ones you marked yourself, or if it was verified by the team running this), maybe hover notes on why a page was submitted and colored with simple 'time updated' metadata, because what if the mark was from ages ago and nobody looked to update it if it was someone being 14 or something 10 years ago.
I use it mostly to take a page, blog, or person with a grain of salt and to look into it myself, because sometimes transmeds can be green and someone simply with unusual pronouns for their gender can be red.
I probably used this for so long every time I see a colored blog it likely is my mark that's clientside, which is why I still use it, since I constantly curate it.
Nobody can perfectly verify everything and some can fly under the radar, if you are using this plugin, PLEASE don't be afraid to mark/submit your findings too, there may be issues but you can help by submitting the correct dropdown even if its already marked. Even clearing marks is helpful. - Noté 2 sur 5par siam, il y a 5 joursnot much help when it doesnt tell you why someone was marked red. when i come across a youtube channel marked red, and the channel is nothing but innocuous content unrelated to lgbt issues, am i supposed to just believe that? im not going through all their social media to find the truth. transphobia is a heavy accusation, you best have a good reason for it.

- Noté 2 sur 5par dreadful, il y a 12 joursi don't care about tmras and transmisogynists whinging about how they're being bullied for spreading vile bs abt trans women, but i have seen actual 4tranners get marked green, including a dedicated 4tran subreddit. come the fuck on. you wouldn't call an edtwt user a feminist for saying moid.
it's just become a discourse tool now, which is functionally useless for measuring what is and is not actually unsafe for trans people (esp women) to be around. - Noté 1 sur 5par Jak, il y a 13 jours

Also like. a lot of black trans people are marked red for no reason??? Racist and transphobic, avoid at all costs. If you need to check if a page or blog is transphobic, just do the work yourself.
- Noté 5 sur 5par Luna, il y a 16 joursy'all the rating are community made if someone who is a trans ally is marked red it's because people using the extension marked it as red for some reason
- Noté 4 sur 5par bunglung, il y a 17 jourspretty good. ive been using it for a while and has been largely accurate. im not sure the specifics of the process. but as of late it seems false negatives within the system have been circulating just for people combating transmisogyny. one thing that would help is when somebody is marked red or green (though it would benefit red marks the most) it gives a reason why they were marked such and a link/screenshot to where the person expressed a belief which way. don't use it without checking, especially for red marks, but it can help bring your attention to whether or not a person might be transphobic
- Noté 5 sur 5par Galius, il y a 19 joursalright I gotta swallow my pride and say that when I made my last review, I was duped. I was poorly informed by the reviews, and after using the plugin and better understanding the actual conversation around the relevant issues, I'm changing my 1 star review to a 5 star review.
Effective plugin, and it feels nice to see green names going around. Recommended if you think it would help you. - Noté 2 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 20037153 de Firefox, il y a 20 joursI looked at the guidelines when wondering why so many pro-transgender pages are marked red and it sounds like using assigned-gender-at-birth language is being encouraged as "do not mark trans-friendly" due to transmisogyny. Julia Serrano's article on what transmisogyny is does use that language. So am I supposed to mark Julia Serrano as anti-trans??? I'm supposed to flag the woman who coined the term "transmisogyny" as being violently transphobic? That sounds rather counterproductive! Can the developer explain why this is supposed to make sense? Are people flagging others just to see them turn red? Did anti-trans people raid the app, and the mods just can't keep up?
- Noté 1 sur 5par mina, il y a 21 joursBeen noticing a very weird pattern of trans people of color (regardless whether they're ftm, mtf or enby) or people who point out racism within trans community being marked as red. Do not use.
