par JT, il y a 5 ans1Password has started to interfere with basic fill fields that have drop-down or accordion expansion functionality. For example, if you got to https://www.sonic.com and type into the address field, it gives you options to pick from. However, the 1Password dialogue box pops up and prevents you from both reading the first few options and from making an actual selection. This is infuriating, and it now happens CONSTANTLY. Modern web apps frequently force you to make a valid selection from their lists rather than letting you fill in whatever you want, and not being able to read those lists, let alone make a selection, renders 1Password completely unusable because it interferes with basic web browsing functionality. Please fix this ASAP. As it stands I'm already planning on going back to LastPass once my 1Password subscription runs out. It was already annoying that I couldn't do something as basic as update the parameters for auto-generated passwords in the dialogue box. Now that same under-featured dialogue box is preventing me from doing something simple like filling in an address field.

You can easily dismiss 1Password’s suggestion if it is blocking your view by pressing the ESC key on your keyboard or by clicking the little 1Password icon on the right side of the field. That would allow you to see whatever is behind it easily.
Thank you for providing that website as an example. 1Password does suggest identity items there that will allow you to fill your address in a jiffy, but we can definitely understand if you’d rather manually input your details here.
Another suggestion we can make is that you go into the extension’s settings page and turn off the “Show autofill menu on field focus”, which will prevent 1Password from showing up on its own in every field. That might enhance your experience.
As for the issue with changing the auto-generated password parameters - you can definitely do that too! Click the extension on the top right corner of your browser to open it, select the big PLUS icon to reveal the menu and choose the “Password Generator”.
While in the generator, change the password type from “Smart Password” to “Random Password”, adjust the recipe as you see fit and when you’re happy with it, make it the default recipe for suggestions. Then 1Password will always suggest passwords based on the recipe you set up!
I hope you’ll find all of the above helpful. If you have any other issues or simply would like to learn more tips and tricks, feel free to email us to support+x@1password.com and we’ll be happy to help!

At the time of writing this, I can only get version 8.12.4 and 1Password have already released 8.12.12 two weeks ago. The version Mozilla have is close to 3 months old.... - Noté 2 sur 5par Christopher, il y a 2 mois
- Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 13261523 de Firefox, il y a 3 mois1Password does several things well, especially in Google Chrome. However, in Firefox, the 1Password experience is genuinely problematic and highly unreliable.
The most serious issue is that it does not work properly with HTTP Basic Authentication pop-up login windows. In Firefox, I often have to click multiple times and even navigate back in the browser before eventually receiving a different error message, after which the login may finally work. This issue does not occur in Google Chrome.
This has been going on for months. I pay for an expensive subscription, but I do not expect to renew it unless this problem is properly resolved. For my work, I use a very large number of HTTP Basic Authentication links with login pop-ups, and this simply has to function correctly. At the moment, I am forced to click repeatedly or switch to Google Chrome just to get basic functionality.
Support from 1Password has also been extremely slow. It often takes several days to receive a response, which is very disappointing.
My subscription runs until November 2026, but I am already considering alternatives. That is unfortunate, because 1Password does many things very well. However, when it comes to Firefox, the overall experience has been a major disappointment. Judging by the large number of negative comments here, I am clearly not the only one experiencing this.
Sidenote: also the 1Password application for Android phone has issues; it reports 9 out of 10 times, that it has no connection, so all passwords I am adding, do not show up on my desktop. #fail #1password - Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 19822537 de Firefox, il y a 3 moisThe plugin is significantly slowing my browser, tested my suspicions on a browser benchmark site and speed score went from 8 with the plugin on and 30 with it disabled (nothing else changed)
- Noté 1 sur 5par aaFn, il y a 3 moisCrap application, intrusive, pop ups all the time. Obscure ways to configure, tries to be "intelligent" but of course is not and then hides its internal "guessed" configuration, much less flexible and customizable than Keepass.
When imposed by companies, have to use it, else avoid like hell ! (and do not use it for personal side, your data is on a cloud and a company which is not trustable !) - Noté 1 sur 5par Utilisateur ou utilisatrice 5951631 de Firefox, il y a 4 moisIf you already have 1password account, that has some kind of order, this extension will ruin the order you created by duplicating records you created with records called "Sign in" or something.
- Noté 4 sur 5par Garett, il y a 4 moisWorks well for the most part, but it can get annoying when I don't want to save a particular account used for log-ins. The pop-up should have a "No, and don't ask me again" option so that it doesn't come up every time.

- Noté 3 sur 5par Liang, il y a 4 moisIt works but introduces severe performance degradation, you can prove this by going on browserbench and running the test with it disabled and compare
Insupportable. Désinstallé direct.

- Noté 4 sur 5par mokidokie, il y a 5 moisI've used this for years with no problems, but recently (within the last few months) it's been hyper-aggressive with the pop-up prompts - even when not signed in. Click out of it and immediately it comes back when you focus on the next field on the same page. It's gotten so bad I've had to disable the extension until the time i actually need it, and then once i'm done i have to disable it again. Not sure what the heck they changed on the back end but it needs to stop.

- Noté 4 sur 5par Nikola, il y a 6 moisIt works good in most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't. Mostly when it comes to OTP it could make mistakes, and also auto-fill sometimes won't work. But it's ok overall..
