I think it's very pretty and I was enjoying it until I looked closer and I noticed how JPEG-y it looks. I don't understand what's the point of compressing the picture. Now it annoys me and I need to change theme. Really sad :/.

You're looking in the upper-right corner. Don't look over there! ;-) I had to make some edits to the original image so that it wouldn't look weird (there was something else entirely in that area). Hand-drawing those waves is hard, so I hoped it would just be lost in the background and no one would notice. TBH, I don't even notice it. But I should have known there would be someone with Eagle eyes.

If you've got mad Photoshop skills and want to fix it and shoot a new image over to me, I'll gladly update the theme.
