    Por favor, atualize o programa."

    estou utilizando o ubuntu 26.04 LTS com a versão do aplicativo .deb

    Hi! This error happens when the extension loses connection with the desktop app.
    To fix it: open the FDM app > Settings > Browser Integration. Uncheck your browser's box, wait 5 seconds, and check it again. Then, restart your browser. If that fails, cleanly reinstall the desktop app. If it doesn't help, please contact us at: support@freedownloadmanager.org

    Thank you for your feedback. The FDM browser extension only sends the information needed to start downloads in the FDM app. The anonymous data notice was added to comply with Mozilla's requirements.

    Hello! We would like to state once more that the FDM extension only transmits the necessary data to launch downloads in the FDM client. The anonymous data usage alert was implemented purely to meet Mozilla's stipulations. If you find this unacceptable, you can always choose not to install the extension.     Was working great until recently. Now the extension constantly breaks and just stops anything from downloading and I have to disable and reenable the extension to fix it.

    Forces you to opt into their "anonymous" data collection and if you decline, it uninstalls itself. Utter bullshit, if you ask me. Pay for IDM or Jdownloader with the adfree installer instead and look up how to disable the ads in it after.

    Hello! We are very sorry that the consent screen about data transfer have caused so many negative emotions among our users. However, as we've already explained, the FDM extension needs to transfer downloads to the FDM application in order to work. Without this transfer, the extension simply can’t function. Due to the latest Mozilla’s guidelines, this process now requires users to explicitly consent to the data transfer. If you find this requirement unacceptable, you can always uninstall the extension. Way to force people to agree to be able to continue to use your "product".. yeah I've read your explanation as to "why" but that doesn't justify it imo.. just point people to a github and let them install from a file instead, and tell mozilla to go suck it

    trying to download a linux iso on sourceforge and it went straight to downloads and this extension acted like it didn't even know a download existed, total fail if it never asks to download at all, it's like xtreme download manager where you have to show it the download so no automation then it's useless to me.

    When running addon it has this statement as part of privacy policy:

    "If you choose not to allow us to collect anonymous data, the FDM extension will be immediately removed from your browser."

    This is not present on the privacy policy shared on firefox addon store.

    The main issue is deception, but using such underhanded tactics is not great either. They never disclose what data will be collected or anonymized either.

    Edit: found this response "We've implemented the recent anonymous data usage notification only to comply with the latest Mozilla’s requirements."

    On one hand it is clearly stated that anonymous data is collected, on the other, this response implies that this is only because mozila required this statement. The only conclusion I can reach is that mozila is asking all addons to add this note no mater if they are collecting data or not, which, while possible, is hard to believe.

    Edit 2: Some other comments from developers imply that this is to allow downloads (i.e. you need to send URL to server to download, etc). But all this is already called out separately and in great details outside of this mysterious anonymous telemetry. Thus, this is just necessary.

    I'm reviewing the business practice of forcing users to send anonymous data in order to use the add-on. I know they keep saying "but only anonymous data is sent" but that's not the point. User data is just that. User data. Regardless of any anonymization.
