I've been a big fan of this one for a few years but seeing that they've made it a paywalled extension. a SUBSCRIPTION, at that. I am now looking for a new grammar and spell checker.

The extension itself works great. My rating is based on the fact that they are switching entirely to being a paid service only. I will be removing the extension.

I rarely need a grammar checker these days, but I have found almost all of the suggestions I get in "picky" mode — particularly when I am writing something a bit more formal than a text — very reasonable. The fact that I probably "only" use about 10-20% of them should be taken in the context that I have used other grammar/spell checkers and rarely take their suggestions at all!

Realmente a extensão é ótima, mas, agora, ficou paga, após 14 dias de uso. Ainda não tem outra aqui no Firefox, mas já tem para Chrome.

La version gratuite était tres bien. Mais ils ont décidé de mettre un place un paywall. Bref je déconseille.

After several years of collecting our data, they're turning their backs on us by blocking our access while they wait to collect our money.

It was okay, I only chose this over others as it was the least annoying. Not amazing, I never engaged much with the AI side (as in using it to fully refine things) but it got context better than others did when suggesting fixes, so there's 2 stars. But no, I'm not going to pay for it because it has AI rewrite features, because I don't use those, just grammar and spelling fixes.

It's unfortunate they have to make it premium only because not enough people are paying for it, but maybe that's because it's not *amazing*, just cheaper than Grammarly.

I think another reviewer put it perfectly; LT saves you the time it takes to open up an LLM and paste your text in. And now that on firefox you can have most LLMs just pop up in the sidebar, it really doesn't take that long.

Was a handy tool! Shame that they decided to paywall this to premium. Removed and uninstalled.

Unfortunately, they decided to switch to Premium only for very dubious, greedy reasons. So I will no longer be using it.
