Playlist filtering (the only reason I got this addon) is paywalled... Tip to dev: Maybe indicate clearly on the addon page which features are paywalled to avoid user disappointment and low reviews.

The basic groups for organizing playlists are free. If you want extended features, you should become a patron. You can see a list of additional features on our Patreon tab. It takes time to update the extension every time YouTube changes internally.

The extension is fine - the idea to categorize playlists is handy, and I've found uses for the extension. BUT, the sort by video duration being a patreon only piece is... kind of scummy? Like, yeah, I get why it is. I get that other options are out there for organizing them, but it just feels bad? Also the extension runs like shit. Anytime I have it open my browser slows down to like 1/10th the speed until I go and turn the extension off. All in all the extension can be good, but it has issues and those issues make it hard for me to actively recommend to others.

Edit: To be clear the video duration thing is not the main issue I have with this. It was just something that I wanted to point out. The reason I gave it a 2/5 was the severe issues with running it. I'm just specifying this because the developer replied and only mentioned the patreon only thing. As I said in the review, "I get why it is. I get that other options are out there for organizing them, but it just feels bad?" - this was meant to be "I think it kind of feels bad to have that paywalled but I can understand why." The developed however seems to think *that* was the reason I reviewed it this way and I just wanted to clarify it was because of the SEVERE performance issues. not the paywall.

Sorting by video duration is a feature that was specifically requested by our paid members, so it’s available exclusively to them as part of the benefits they support the extension for. I don’t think that’s unfair or “scummy.” Premium features are clearly mentioned in the extension description, so there’s no attempt to hide this.

Furthermore, the decision to keep some features for the Patreon version of PocketTube was made to ensure the long-term feasibility of the free version.

The free version is useless, cause it puts the main feature behind a pay wall.

Amasing extenshun!!!
Ok so the buttons disappearing under the playlist were probally a problem with my youtube
and the spacing between the dropdown that says "all" and the buttons on the far right could be under the dropdown but otherwise, amazing extension ;D

Edit: АААААА!!! Воно запрацювало! Після останнього оновлення усе працює чудово! Де тут кнопка "мільярд зірок"? Чому її немає? П'ять зірок замало для цього розширення!

The basic playlist extension in the sidebar is no longer showing for me.
Edit: I tried disabling every extension I have and disabled and enabled PocketTube, but no change.

It's weird. I can't reproduce the behavior. Try to disable other extensions you use, maybe it's some sort of conflict.
UDP: What version are you using? The latest is 3.4.3

The biggest reason why anyone would want to use this add-on (ordering a playlist) is paywalled, which of course is not clearly indicated in the description, because the dev is as scummy as it gets.

It's absolutely not true. The features for Patreon are clearly highlighted with [only for our patrons] in the extension description, which anyone can check. this extension is really useful, even in the free version! just a quick question: I noticed that the playlist length disappeared from playlists (it was what I used the most). has it been removed? thanks in advance :)

It was not removed, it's still available on the playlist page. Try to disable other extensions, maybe it's a conflict. If not, please reach out to us at hello@pockettube.io with the link to the playlist, and we'll investigate the issue.

It is a dev's right to set his own price - but it is a consumers right to express what they think about it. And I have to agree; 3$ is steep. I pay 3$ a month for a debrid service which provides unlimited, full-speed downloads, and now the same price for an extension in maintenance?

Would give three stars, but unfortunately:
- The one feature I need is paywalled
- The "delete watched video" button doesn't delete all watched videos, it deletes all STARTED videos. What's done is done, still not great.

But fortunately it is licensed openly, meaning I can just patch out the paywall and fix the logic how I need it, which is a plus, so we're back at three stars I guess.

What? It's not clear what you mean exactly. It's a YouTube feature to add a video to a playlist, we're adding search and sort to the pop-up.

please, if you're doing paid features, don't show them for non paid users. it's like always having a button "disable ads" in a mobile game, takes up space

Sorry to hear it, however, paid features are not ads. Our users should know where paid features are located and how it's working. If you're interested only in free features, you can ignore paid features, we are not pushing you to buy.

I should have read the other reviews before trying it, I guess.
I understand that you want money for it, but then put it in the first line of the description.
Most people don't want to pay for an extension, so you are just creating suffering.

I said FIRST LINE OF THE DESCRIPTION.

EDIT: "RYS — Remove YouTube Suggestions" was conflicting with this addon.

It's showing in "You" sections. Try to disable other extensions, you have a conflict if not see it.

This is no longer showing up on my sidebar. Has that feature been paywalled? If so, I guess this is the end of the line for me.

Edit: Unhook (because of the ever-annoying Youtube UI changes) the remove "Explore, Trending" was blocking this and my playlists from showing up. Seems fine. So long as this remains free it gets a good rating.

Thank you for sharing! Yes, it can be. It was a YouTube update 2 days ago, they swapped Subscriptions and the You section. I suspect the Unhook extension can hide items/blocks wrongly after that
